My Story
Writing is my passion. I have a deep love for all things creative. . . the written word, paper books, crisp san serif typefaces, creative storytelling and impactful design ~ all things that initially drew me to the field of advertising.
Great storytelling moves you. A book can be about almost any subject. It’s the words and how they are woven together that matters. Words that draw you in and transport you to another time and place. They evoke the senses and invite you into the story, submersing you in the sights, sounds, smells and emotions.
A great book transforms readers into characters, allowing you to experience the story as if it’s your own. ♥
My Journey
Embarking on a career in advertising allowed me to use my talents and love for the written word. The process of crafting engaging copy and design to draw consumers in and create memorable and lasting impact is a powerful and rewarding experience.
Often, where we begin in our career isn’t always where we land. I started in advertising, transitioned into a marketing strategist role and eventually worked my way into marketing management. Anyone who works in marketing knows it is a challenging and demanding field. That said, each stage of my career provided me with a wealth of knowledge. I am grateful for these experiences, which allowed me to learn, grow and develop a deep skill set in marketing, advertising, creative services and campaign management. Taking on a broad range of roles and responsibilities taught me what I do best, what brings me joy and where my true passion lies.
The Crossroads
There comes a time in everyone’s life when they find themselves standing at a crossroads… to continue on the current path or take the road less traveled. After over two decades in marketing, communications and leadership roles, I realized I had gotten away from doing the work that truly brings me joy and peace.
Over the years, I gained a lot of clarity on what I stand for, who I stand with and the values I live by – honesty, authenticity, kindness and integrity. I have honed my skills, I know where I excel (and what my limits are). I am extremely confident in my work ~ and my work ethic.
Turning the Page
The clarity and confidence I developed throughout my career gave me the courage to chart a new path and return to my creative roots. I started freelancing in 2024 as the next exciting stage of my journey.
Where this journey takes me is yet to be seen, but I know the destination will be beautiful and rewarding!
